Soundtrack of “A última moeda”

The short film “A última moeda” (the last coin) by writer Fina Casalderrey and director Xoan Vidal Alonso from audiovisual association “Piruleta Vermella” was premiered on March 13, 2016. I have participated in this project as the original soundtrack composer and pianist with my usual collaborator cellist Luis Caballero.

The ceremony took place at the Teatro Principal de Pontevedra completing all the capacity available. At the photo (left to right): Xoan Vidal Alonso – director of “Piruleta Vermella”, Karolis Biveinis – composer of the original soundtrack, Óscar Ibáñez – musician and actor, Fina Casalderrey – writer and Galiza O. Casás – young leading actress of the short film.

Moeda-premiere

The music was recorded at the Conservatorio profesional de música de “Manuel Quiroga”, Pontevedra. Here you have a “making of” video (big thanks to Diego de Coo Diz).

The composition was played with the cello constructed by the luthier Anxo Cabreira Costas which was released that same day.
